Since the beginning of April we’ve seen a significant rise in the number of applications we receive. Despite an increase in our grants budget for 2018/19 this has resulted in a more stringent approach being taken to the provision of grants and an increase in the number of applications being rejected.
In order to manage this increase, the categories we consider for grants have now been prioritized. This is detailed as follows with the categories lower down the list only being provided with a grant in exceptional cases or not at all:
Equipment and adaptions applications will still be considered but within the budgetary constraints identified above.
From the 25th May under General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we will need fully informed and freely given consent from applicants (your client or service user) that we can hold their data for the purpose of assessing and processing applications for financial support. We will not be able to assess or process any application without their written consent. A consent form can be found here.
You will need to print the consent form and ask the applicant to read the form and the Privacy Policy. If they consent for the organisations listed to hold their data, they will need to complete and sign the form. You will then need to scan and attach the signed form when creating an application on GrantsPlus. More information regarding how to attach the form to an application will be made available nearer the time. Please do not send the forms to us via email.
If you have any questions about the consent process or GDPR generally, please contact the team at Glasspool on 0203 141 3161 (Mon to Fri – 9:30 to 12:30).
To supplement our GrantsPlus User guide we have developed a FAQ's guide, which details the top frequently asked questions, our answers and general guidance on making an application.
Glasspool is partnering with St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity to launch a one month pilot to, support people who are currently experiencing homelessness or who are vulnerably housed, to establish and maintain their tenancies.
We are pleased to announce that we have just published our first impact report. It features George and Malia, two of the many people we supported during 2016. If you want to find out more about them and our work, please go to the reports section of our website
Due to system updates, GrantsPlus will not be accessible on Tuesday 20th June, 5 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday 21st June, noon until 3 pm.
